Marylin FRASCONE (France)

Acclaimed by the critics, Marylin Frascone is noted above all for her sensitivity and imagination and for the great poetry and lyricism of her playing. Her artistic charisma, and her exceptional skill as an instrumentalist have developed under the influence of two cultures: that of France, where she was born and took her first piano lessons with Annie d'Arco, and that of Russia, where, after being awarded a scholarship by the French ministry of Culture, she studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of the famous teacher Sergey Dorensky.

Marylin Frascone gave first concerts at the age of twelve. And four years later she caused a sensation with her performance at the Salle Gaveau in Paris of two Mozart Piano Concertos and Cesar Franck's Variations Symphoniques.

In 1995 she won First Prize in the Marienbad International Chopin Competition (Czech Republic). Since then Marylin Frascone has been invited to appear regularly in the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Indonesia, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and other countries. She has played at major festivals and has appeared as a soloist with various famous symphony orchestras.

Her recordings of works by Liszt, Ravel and Rachmaninov deservedly attracted a great deal of attention and she was highly rated by specialized music magazines, including Diapason, Le Monde de la Musique, Repertoire, etc.

Her recent Live CD, devoted to Liszt, has also been hailed by the critics.
