Konstantinos GRIGORIOU (Greece)

Konstantinos Grigoriou grew up in Athens. He represents the next generation of young and progressive Greek composers. He is an author of compositions for various instruments, specializing in music for wind instruments, guitar, and orchestral works. His works have been premiered in various parts of Greece, Russia and Europe. His recent work “Andante for string orchestra” was premiered during the prestigious “New Greek Music” festival at the Athens Concert Hall to high critical acclaim last April.

Mr. Grigoriou’s active involvement in music life expands to finding and promoting young artists from around the world and organizing events and seminars of classical music. Since September 2003 he serves as a Director of the National Conservatory in Santorini, where he teaches composition as well. He also performs in concerts as a soloist and a member of chamber music ensembles.
